How Renting Works
Renting a designer dress with À La Mode is simple and stress-free. Follow these easy steps to find the perfect look for your next event
1. Browse & Select
Explore our collection of designer dresses. Filter by size to find your perfect look.
Note - some dresses fit multiple sizes so please book a try-on to check the fit.
2. Book Your Date
Choose the day of your event and click on that date. You only need to select that one date.
We will make sure that your dress arrives 1-2 days before your event. {If your event is on a Saturday, then it will arrive by courier on the Thursday or Friday and if you are picking up from us you can pick up the dress from our drop-box on the Thursday from St Clair, Dunedin)
To return the dress, it will always be the next working day. So if you hired it for the weekend, please return by 4pm if dropping off to St Clair Dunedin on the Monday (place in the black drop box on driveway) or if by courier please put it into the prepaid courier bag that arrived with your dress and it will need to be handed into a NZ Post counter by 3pm so it meets the deadline of being sent back to us in time for cleaning and being ready for the next rental.
It needs to be handed over the counter to be scanned so I know when they will arrive back not dropped into a post box. Please use Find NZ Post Locator
We recommend booking early to secure your preferred style.
3. Wear & Enjoy
Your dress arrives ready to wear. Look and feel incredible at your event.
Please take care when wearing the dress. Be mindful of jewelry that may snag the fabric and avoid sitting of rough surfaces too.
We recommend to spray-tan a couple of days before your event to limit tan transfer onto the dress.
4. Return with Ease
Simply return your dress after your event. We take care of the cleaning — no fuss, no stress.
